Our Story

The company has had very humble beginnings in the year 1969. It was founded by Mr Jayant Ghelani, who is now the Chairman of the company, as a trading company supplying fabrics to domestic garmenters. Not content with merely buying and selling, the entrepreneurial genes got the better of him and in 1975 the weaving unit was set up. This opened up the floodgates and the company began procuring its own export orders for fabrics and eventually home textiles. The company is now successfully carried forward by the second generation under Mr Pranav Ghelani.

Family owned and professionally managed, Sumangalam continues to be a trustful partner to retailers, brands, online and catalogue customers in The Americas, Europe, Scandinavia, UK, South Africa, The Gulf and Australia.

Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and professionally managed production, merchandising, designing, and logistic departments, under the supervision of experienced personnel, ensures quality products of international standard. The entire team passionately strives to excel and create products that endure the test of time.

Design being an important aspect of our products, we have a team of skillful designers, who research and create innovative designs as per latest trends and colour palettes with complete support of the sampling team. Our merchandising, production and logistics teams are well coordinated to ensure timely delivery.

Our array of home textiles includes bed linen, terry towels, kitchen textiles, curtains and cushion covers. We also embellish our range of products with timeless embroidery and appliqué work.
